hmmm...
Tomorrow ... twenty-nine years ago, i was all of 25yo ... i, foolishly, was planning to go into Boston and spend a lot of money on a Nikon ... my First Sergeant had agreed to give me the day off and someone with a car was taking me ... mind you, this was only a few months before i was going to be married and i was spending money like it was going to keep just showing up -=- i really didn't get it back then, like i said, foolishly -=- the day was interesting, bright sun early and clouding up quickly, i do believe i was grinning a lot, birthday and all, you know? ... reports of snow and that didn't bother us, we took off for Boston ... well, the snow didn't stop, and didn't stop, and, well you get the picture ... when we finally decided to -not- continue to Boston there was so much it took us nearly 3 hrs to get back to base and we almost didn't make it at all ... i remember WBCN radio was calling it 'the great white hurricane' ... quite an interesting present from mother nature, eh?, 2+ feet of snow with heavy winds and drifts up to 10' in some places ... i guess what i'm saying here is that no matter the plans we cook up and make sure are in place, either an outside influence or our own idiocies will make minor changes to the world around us to nullify those plans and prompt us, oh ever so gently, to remember we really are not in charge ... ;p ...
