BUSH ASKS ABOUT 'SPLASH DAY'

President Bush raised eyebrows on Tuesday when he asked locals in Galveston, Texas: "Do you still have Splash Day?"

"Splash Day" is the annual "adult oriented enormous beach party" celebration on the Gulf Coast.

BUSH: Do you still have Splash Day?

(LAUGHTER)

BUSH: You have to be a baby boomer to know what I'm talking about.

(LAUGHTER)

BUSH: I'm not saying whether I came or not on Splash Day. I'm just saying, Do you have Splash Day?

(LAUGHTER)

Bush was unaware "Splash Day" is now a fully gay and lesbian event on the beaches.

bwahahaha. someone should tell him they are laughing at him and not with him. you know I wonder if people would have laughed at george bush if he said when i grow up im gonna be the president, when he was a kid. george bush should be a lesson to everyone in this country that in a democracy very rarely do we pick the BEST person for the job. I mean look at this past election, both choices that we had were far from the best that this country could offer. I mean really...why arent there more really smart presidents? academics? our form of democracy should be called pop democracy or something like that, we vote for the guy that has made the political decisions to put himself in favor with the high ups in the party that he signed up for at the beginning of his political career. should political ambition really be the way to get elected? karl rove is one person to blame for this way of doing business in washington. I saw his life story on frontline the other week...hes a really ambitious character. everything he has done since his teen age years has been in preparation for changing the political landscape of this country...and he did it! he did it by making policy decisions with little other consideration than how it would effect his candidates/partys chance at (re)election. and he has been george bush's personal adviser and campaign manager since bush decided to run for texas governer. why does the us not give funding to programs that distribute condoms in 3rd world countries? because doing that may anger the religious right who bush and rove coddle. an evil man is one that can make decisions that effect peoples lives on solely political reasons.
