Come and Go
Mom left yesterday evening. She spent 3 weeks staying with us, and it was really nice having her with us. Liza never really warmed up to her the entire time she was here, so her barking did get a little old. I had to yell at her a lot. When Mom would just sit down, Liza would usually calm down, but whe Mom would get up, Liza would go off.
We've been trying things to get her to calm down - cannabis dog treats, calming oils. I'm really going to hate it if she never calms down, and we're never going to really be able to host parties again while she's alive. :/
Mom left yesterday, and Grandma & Aunt Diane and their friend Earl, came into town after traveling out west to pick Mom up. Originally, the plan was to just go home to Asheville, but instead ,my sister ended up having her baby early, so they drove Mom out to the Belleville/St. Louis area so she could stay and help out iwth the new baby for a little while. He's a cute lil' bean named Jackson Anthony. It's kind of crazy to think that I have a new relative. The last baby born was my brother's youngest son, who turned 14 this year. I'm not all that used to thinking of my brother's kids as teenagers. LOL.
