Ok kids, this is it. This is probably going to be the biggest week of my life. First and foremost, I have to choose which college I'll eventually end up at before I leave on Friday, and apparently we're going to have a "conference" or something about that tonight. I've pretty much narrowed things down to Cornell and Boston University. Each place has its advantages: Cornell is an Ivy League (of course) and has a really good engineering school, and Boston University is giving me a huge scholarship. I'm still kind of up in the air about the whole thing. My parents and family members are leaning toward Boston because they want to save money, and I'll graduate without any debt. Personally, I'm leaning toward Cornell because it just feels right. The campus is so much nicer than Boston's, their engineering school is one of the best, and I've always wanted to go to an Ivy. I dunno. This is going to be tough. Feel free to tell me where you think I should go and why, just to get some ideas floating around.
Ok, all craziness aside, I'm leaving for Germany on Friday! Oh man, it's going to be so much fun. I just got all these things for my camera (case, screen/lens wiper/extra battery/connector to iPod) yesterday, and I'm really excited to get to use everything. I also really like flying, and we're going to be on a big plane for like 6+ hours, so yay for that. Mensch! 5 Days left!
The sucky thing about this whole Germany excursion is that I have to study for AP's while prancing about Europe. I really don't think that will be too much of a problem. As far as I'm concerned, I'm going to focus almost all of my energy on Calc and Physics, and any extra points I can get on the Macroeconomics/Gov't AP's are just bonus points. Hopefully I won't have to take too much out of my trip to study, and luckily, the harder tests (Physics, Econ, and Gov't) are on the week AFTER I get back, so I'll still have a little time to prepare.
Other than that, life's pretty OK right now.
