I've been wanting to try either yoga or pilates for awhile but clearly not badly enough till today.
Even though I had another late night, I dragged myself to the gym for the 7:15 a.m. yoga-pilates class (hence yo-lates), mainly because I desperately needed to be stretched out and I haven't had time to go for a massage.
And it worked! After the class was over, my back felt fine again. I also realised that maybe I still have some core strength and flexibility since I had almost no trouble with the various poses, except one where the instructor came behind me and said, shift your knee like this and pull your arm over and I actually yelled out in agony. Aside from that, it wasn't a bad class.
I think I'll be going again tomorrow morning. It helps that I've discovered a mini-bus that gets me to the gym really fast, which means I can have abit more of a snooze in the mornings.
