I adore this post because it really brings into relief how I feel about "stuff".
There's a lot of stuff hanging around my home because I haven't yet figured out where it's new home should be. Why put so much effort into stuff I want to get rid of? Because I care about this stuff. I want to make sure it goes to the appropriate place, be that a friend's home or Goodwill or a charity or a library or the appropriate recycling facility. I can't just toss stuff I don't want anymore into the trash because that denies its continued value and cheapens the relationship I have had with it.
