smoothie quandary

parenting while pmsing is craptastic.

also, I'm trying to make a smoothie that the Smallest will actually enjoy consuming. I have failed four out of four times over the course of about a month.

stipulations:
No Tofu
No Banana
No Dairy (this includes yogurt)
No Nut-based additions (nut milk, nut butter)

And it can't be too sweet, either, because he's not used to such things. This morning's fail had dates in it and he just wouldn't drink it.

I've used the following:
coconut milk
tahini
hemp seed
orange juice
water
dates
strawberries
berries (blue, rasp, marion)
brown rice protein powder
hemp protein powder

The smoothies that he *does* drink are the store-bought ones that are just fruit and have zero fat or protein. And really? He's only supposed to have an ounce or two of fruit juice a day so as to not mess with his blood sugar (says Dr. Sears, not former-hypoglycemic mama).
