side-yard dreams: small update
I posted this on FB a couple of weeks ago, but never here because i just haven't had the time!
optimystik emailed the property manager and a week later we got the okay! We can plant flowers in the side yard!
I've been scouring craigslist for bricks but haven't had any luck -- they're all gone by the time I get to the ad! :( it's hard not having a car for such things. I feel like I can't look until the weekend and by then, there's no point. Argh. We have a lead on some bricks, which we'll be trying to pick up Sunday morning, if they're still there. But I don't think it'll be enough. Oh well. Some is better than none.
I bought a packet of echinacea seeds, which I will be starting soon. And I need to spend lots of time planning which plants will go where. I'll need to visit nurseries to get many of the plants I want to put there.
ALSO! There will likely be a fence installed by the PM's son, and we might be able to be reimbursed for some of the expenses we incur. Sweet, eh?
I need to get some potting soil post haste. I have so many flower seeds to start!
Now, if only the damned SNOW can go away until next November...
