I've only seen one joke today and it was a Code Pink one that Sarah Palin was going to speak against the war at the mother day march! (And I was taken aback a little, until I read to the end of the message...)

The LJ announcement got me at first too, mainly because it was posted before midnight last night, so I wasn't yet on my guard. I got a couple of paragraphs in thinking "WTF?" and then hit the part about "140 characters is all anyone wants to read" and thought "Heeeeyyyy, wait a minute...!"

Actually facebook and livejournal getting together kind of makes sense. They are both bloated corporations experimenting with very rigid structural social dynamics unilaterally... bad sign! May as well mix 'em together now since they have the same motivations (**destruction of your soul!**)
