N, A and I will be visiting my family over xmess in December. I haven't flown in about 4 years (the last time was to visit my family, so it's been awhile).
As I recall, the prime time to book a flight to get the best price was about a month in advance of one's travel dates.
The Canadian dollar has dropped considerably in the last week or so, making the exchange rate absolute shite.
Oil prices have also dropped considerably, but not necessarily in enough time to favourably impact airfare.
There is an election coming up, which will also have an effect on things like exchange rates, etc.
Taking all of this into consideration, when would you deem to be the best time to purchase airfare?
