Also, as a related tangent, my first name means messenger. This is who I am. This is what I do. I convey information. Some people feel like they need to write a book or 'do something big' to leave their mark on the world. I need to give people information that is useful and beneficial to them to help guide them toward achieving their goals. It is a driving force in my life. It's what gives my life meaning -- what makes me feel like a useful and needed member of the greater world community.
As such, I feel absolutely abysmal when I feel ignored because it means I'm not doing my job right.
