It almost seems like that particular depression they have coined and slapped like label for new mothers, a band-aid... (boys do forgive me!) a males way of grasping having just given birthed creation and now being responsible for it's physical and mental creation, for it's life. Depression nothing!
I may not have brought life into this world, but I've shared my home on weekends with Bill's 5yr daughter and have caught my mind thinking things I never had before. Glimpsing at perspectives only a mother could carry, seeing the world in other lights, the sheer weight of responsiblity that must come with looking at the sponge of a spark that could do anything in this world and knowing in the end it's all up to you, you and your family.
Heavy thoughts such as those rarely touch a person's day to day thoughts unless they come in direct contact with it. Remind those who read your words with warmth of that beautiful creation with sharing moments only a loving mother could share. But leave us not out visually, he's going to grow like a weed all right! ;) In this fast paced world of a feicely growing independance, it's wonderful to be reminded of the beauty of family and it's loving embrace. *s*
