tips for dealing with low serotonin levels

I made a post about this last year, but I think it bears repeating.

There are several ways to help your body produce more serotonin. Some people have levels that are naturally depressed and some have levels that have been artificially depressed due to chemical indulgences. Regardless, these tips will work for both situations.

more people should. I know it helped me immensely. I posted more specific traits of serotonin deficiency here: http://taikakettu.livejournal.com/370819.html?mode=reply

along with some articles that may be of assistance.

I figure, if you're showing symptoms but aren't obviously MAJORLY depressed -- or even moderately depressed -- then you may want to think about attempting to remedy your situation via nutrition. Anti-depressants are life-savers for people who really need them, but if you only need the lowest dosage of whatever they might put you on, then you'll get more out of changing your diet than adding in medication. Changing your diet will solve the problem in a more permanent way than medication will.

Good luck.

can't read those articles from the office, but I will certainly look into them over the next couple of days.

Thank you for the link. :)
