tasks accomplished thus far today:

Mar 28, 2006 20:44

  • made and ate breakfast (stovetop oatmeal)
  • took doggie for walk and ran faster than she did. we're both very out of shape, but I'm getting in shape faster than she is!
  • combed and brushed the animals who let me (all except Amber, who barely lets me look at her let alone get close enough to touch her)
  • cleaned more of the shower stall (lots and lots and lots of soap scum)
  • made and ate lunch (mexican tofu)
  • email C re pants
  • finished wiping down the walls of the bathroom to prep for primer
  • primed 98% of the bathroom walls. There are two strips of moulding that need about 4 coats that I haven't touched yet. I will finish the rest of the bathroom tomorrow afternoon -- everything needs a final coat or two. Why am I priming the bathroom? Because when we first moved in, it was a hideous colour (ironically, the same colour of what will soon be our hallway and living room. ugh.). So we primed it and then painted, using some of the paint we had leftover from upstairs. The paint job never got finished and never looked good and solid enough to leave without pangs of guilt. We want to be able to paint in the new place, so we have to leave the old place in decent enough shape. Hopefully, we're doing the right thing.

optimystik just showed up with more boxes -- I ran out yesterday around 3pm. Now I can really start packing up the kitchen. I've already got most of the spices down and one of the spice racks; the other will come down tonight. The altar is packed. Two of the three shrines come down tonight, too. The last shrine comes down Friday night. The rugs will come up Thursday night (or tonight if I'm really on top of things), and cleaning (stove/oven/fridge/window wells) will get done Thursday and Friday. Ivar and computers will come down Friday.

misslynx did a phenomenal job of doing ALL THE LAUNDRY today. There was a lot. Really. Now we have to hang the wet stuff. All the blankets were washed, too. Yay!!! Perfect timing to be put away for seasonal storage! Er... We're so good. Yeah.

I'm actually feeling good about moving on Saturday. If anyone can/wants to help out -- moving boxes and furniture this Saturday afternoon -- lemme know in the comments, please and thank you.

Now, to fill the 6 boxes N brought by and hang wet clothes.
