what I've been doing lately
I've been working steadily on my tattoo design, and I'm fairly pleased with the direction it's taken. It's gonna be a fair bit larger than the last one. I'm striving for detailed but uncluttered, so we'll see how long it takes before I can give the design to an artist to more fully render. Need to get out the coloured pencils next and have a go at colour. I should probably make a few photocopies, or maybe scan it into the computer and toy with it there.
I just tried that musicOutfitters, year-you-graduated-high-school meme and I discovered that of the few songs I recognize, I like most of them. But there are A LOT of songs I don't recognize at all. I guess it was a good year for RnB, which I very much do not listen to. Oh well. It was a trip down memory lane, mostly involving scenes with the best-friend-cum-ex-gf. Not too painful.
I had a super week last week that involved visiting the_moogie and telling her about my recent acid trip to get her mind off mr_pugh's "heart event" and ensuing "procedure", delicious homegrown ambient music, cello music to soothe the soul, a super fun subway party (my first ever), a wonderful day spent with sgeimh_solais, and good time spent with my loves.
This week has, thus far, included PANCAKES!!! (yay!) at a brunch chez Moogie, an enlightening couple of hours with pyralea, an awesome bday party for Moogie (I had such fun!!), and a good afternoon with sgeimh_solais and plants (and kitties, of course).
I look forward to an evening cuddling with misslynx watching Buffy. We have finished season 5, which will need to be returned to northbard soon, and have begun season 6. Please no spoilers.
I have plans for tomorrow and friday afternoons, and I believe I should stop by Wychwood library and pick up a library card for myself. I need a primer on botany and... something else. I forget. Gah! Oh yeah! The fifth Harry Potter book. I haven't finished it, and I want to get it and the latest one read before people start telling me things I don't want to hear. Oh, dammit. I just realised that a file got erased before I had a chance to save it, and it had a list of books I wanted to read. Poo. I will have to go harvest said list again... and save it this time!
I need to make more icons before my paid account expires. I like the three basic ones I have and I don't want to get rid of them, but I'm kinda tired of having only them. Must ponder.
