I love my new icon XD it's so random and soooo Fai-like.
gah, i feel so tired. i think i'm going to end up ranting because i haven't talked about anything that's been going on.
First of all, my Sister ran off to Utah and has decided to stay there. Hurray! i don't have to see her! and also, she put the Twins up for adoption. that one hurt a little bit though it is for the best and i'm happy she did that. The family that they went too is a very good family according to the file we were sent; and they also already have 5 children of their own, so the twins will have older brothers and sisters. it's a comfort to know that they will have a strong family to be with and who is willing and ABLE to raise them. They've been with the family for about a month now; and i hear that they have just florished and Hunter -the one who was so sick and almost died- he has gained like three pounds and is getting stronger daily. So that's good.
It was just hard to see them go and know that i probably wouldn't see them again till they are maybe 18 and that's if they seek us out. it's just weird to think i have two nephews by blood, but technically i don't anymore.
but luckily, the drama has slowly begun to die down around here with Amanda living in Utah. Her loser husband is still with her and living with her down there; but hey, he's not here so i can't complain.
like i said, i feel tired and unsure about everything that has happened in about the last 2 months. my heads so full i feel befuddled and exhausted.
though on the bright side, i've been writing a bit more. though on the bad side my computer is freaking out and deleting all the writing i've done. It deleted about 5-8 pages about a month ago and i had to completely rewrite the entire thing. and then about two weeks ago, i found that the computer had completely deleted ALL of the edited changes i had made to that re-written work. I have NO idea what happened, and that second time i did cry. it was so frustrating and it made me so angry. so now... i copy everything, save all my work, completely close out the word file and then reopen it to make sure it's still there -then i upload it into my flash drive i got from my father as a present. (... i think it's called flash drive... o.0`)
but yeah, i've been writing more -and even though i'm still working on my original works story/book, i'm also doing a lot of random short story fanfiction to practice on. I now have to agree with a girl i heard several years ago at that ConnetiCon who said "I really thing that writing FanFiction can help you grow as a writer." At the time i had rolled my eyes because i thought that was silly -using other people's characters and setting just didn't give you that creative edge (at least in my opinion) but i think i'm taking it back now because it's just for fun. It gives you a world that's already set up in and you have to try so hard to keep these characters in-character, and you have to follow their laws as a person. So it's a great practice area. it's really helping me understand the flow of a story and with people online commenting, then i'm able to understand more as to what works and doesn't. So yes. i'm officially a HUGE nerd and fangirl.
... yeah. i think that's it. I'm RPing a little bit again, but I don't want to get too heavy into it because i like my lil' group in #Ahome on mIRC -even though RPing with them is like when Richard transforms into a werewolf -only on a full moon does it happen.
oh, and at Barnes&Noble we're having this HUGE Harry Potter party for the release of the 7th book. I mean we're having games, we're dressing up, the Cafe is going to be renamed the Leaky Caldron for the night. We're going to have a sorting hat and trivia, and it's going to be awesom. I'm soooo stoked for it. I'm going to play Nymphadora Tonks and i'm going full out, i'm going to die my hair purple and i'm even going to go in the morning of the 20th to cut my hair shorter so i can spike it up. I have my robes already made and i'm going to make a T-shirt that says 'The Weird Sisters' on it for that wizard band that's in the books; and i'm going to put a fake tattoo around my eyes, and i'm going to make a wand holster for the wand i bought and strap it to my thigh -and yes... it's excited. if you get me and Ashley-Jo together, it's like watching two fanatics at a Star Wars convention. it's great fun ^-^
We just need a Draco Malfoy cosplayer and possibly another Harry Potter if Steve won't let Curtis out of the Cafe to walk around as Harry. and we do still need Volunteers to help us out, so if you live in the Idaho Falls area, come on by! we'd be more than happy to bring you into the backroom and to help with the fun! and i'm sure that will also gaurentee your name on a copy of the 7th book for your very own ;)
