Random idea
So, here's a random thought/desire I had suddenly whilst in the shower:
I sort of want to make a blog about writing and geeky English things. I was thinking of doing it right here, but I'm more considering a separate thing as I think about it. I'd love to just write about the process and art of writing: character and world building, plots, styles, and more technical things! Maybe also thoughts about how artists perceive their own work. Maybe some ideas for writing exercises and my own results. Possibly sharing stuff about my novel-in-progress that I'm mostly in love with (fu final preposition!)! Also, I'd really like to write about geeky language/English things in general: the multitude of tropes and the different types. Maybe discussion of common mistakes and how to avoid them. Perhaps an exploration into the evolution of our language and how convoluted it really is! I love using alliteration, repetition, and other poetic devices which could also be expounded upon! Also, the dreaded topic of the Oxford comma!
I dunno, just a random idea that could go nowhere... but, at the moment, I really want it to go somewhere. That somewhere might be a separate LJ account or maybe wordpress! Feedback is encouraged.
