Look. Torchwood: Miracle Day was never going to be 'proper Torchwood', because 'proper Torchwood' is Welsh, and tries to put alien weirdness into normal lives, and has a big, sci-fi underground base. Also, a team of characters who work together and know each other.
Three of them are dead. The base has exploded. It's pretty difficult to resume 'proper Torchwod' at this point.
All those people out there who are complaining? I get it. I do. But whining about it isn't going to bring back Tosh, or Owen, or Ianto, of the big fucking sci-fi base. And lets be honest, I'd love Ianto back as much as the next person. But I also totally get the plot point involved in his death. I'm not bitter about it, I just miss him.
All these people who are bitter about this, or complaining because 'it's not what it used to be' - why are you surprised? A show can't carry on with the same thing forever. And lets be honest, BBC America and Starz are investing money into this. Of course they're going to have some say in how big the explosions are or how much sex people get or where it takes place. They're providing the goddamn money. (Also, complaining about sex? Have you SEEN Camelot, Starz's other show? I call it 'tits and king arthur'.)
I am in a rage and it's really quite incoherent. :(
torchwood,
wtf,
rage
