Not fond of either party but this is gonna sound a little anti republican because they have been riding my nerves lately. Some people will probably be upset about this but if you cannot take someone making good points against what you have to say dont reply.
Grrr not fond of having so many republican co-workers. I don't have any real issue with them as people but anytime I get in the patrol car they have the radio set to some pavement pounding radio personality. All I ever hear is gay agenda, teachers union agenda, democratic agenda, etc etc etc. I have never heard so much fear mongering in my life. I even got sent an email that listed some facts about attacks on us soil and then made the HUGE leap that this is all obamas and the democrats fault vote em out quick.
I have heard my co-worker go on at length how all teachers are corrupt come to work drunk and no one can do anything because of the unions. I can see some truth in whats said but the assumptions and logic leaps mixed in with some hardcore fear mongering are mind blowing. Do people really believe all this. I tried to talk to my co-worker about the school thing and he started just ranting about school unions. I tried to tell him I know many teachers and its not like that and he wanted to hear none of it. I tried to site no child left behind and he started ranting how it was implemented as some bullshit democratic money maker. He didnt want to hear that it was cleared by george and jeb bush.
I am not fond of either party I personally think that both have not been doing a great job. Leave the current president whoever it is now and in the future to his job.
1both sides need to back off and let the man do his job. If the president didn't have to worry about people being butthurt over everything then he could probably make more decisive and clear headed decisions
2Stop trying to scare people into making decisions. All I hear is gay agenda, christian agenda, athiest agenda, republican agenda, democratic agenda. Everyone in the world is not out to get you and both sides need to stop trying to play that the world is. If gays want rights its not because they want to sodomize your kids. If christians want rights its not because they want to come in and force you to being a mindless drone. Maybe some do but most don't.
3 we need to stop being so upset by peoples hurt feelings. If we have a large portion of our society that is DRASTICALLY overweight, our kids are getting diabetes and non genetic heart issues this suggests a problem. Guess what we may need to take some of the control away because it seems that its not being handled properly. Does this mean the government is gonna make some choices for you. yes. does it mean that we are all now living in the USSR no. if kids are failing in schools should we be focusing on the students feelings so much probably not. Here is the thing if something doesn't work like magic right away it doesnt mean its not going to . Plans take time to implement and show results. stop trying to crucify someone when the school system doesnt fix our coddled children right away.
4 our government should be worried about what is good for its people. Our elected officials should not be worried if the union who bought their house has its demands met first and formost nor should they have the big corporation who got them into office giving them orders behind the curtain. What happened to doing things for the people. Don't try to tell me the republicans OR the democrats dont have 90% of their body worrying more about their wallets then their choices of what they vote for.
5take religion out of government. religion is just as strong as the richest union or corporation.

George bush vs kerry election. bush rode on the religious right platform of anti gay marriage and that kerry was going to destroy the traditional family. Kerry had largely the same platform but was less vocal.
When public health was an issues the catholic church gave obama the utlimatum that they would have their body vote against the bill over the abortion rights issue at a FUNERAL for the pro abortion senator kennedy. AT A FUNERAL.
gay marriage and polygamist marriage. The decision for this law has been gone back and forth on for a long time and constantly you hear god being cited. Why do peoples rights need to be controlled by a faith they might not even believe in.
George bush has been quoted many times when he was handling the war as "I believe I am doing gods will"
many Many MANY people voted for Obama on the sheer fact that their church convinced them too. This was pushed to the point of religious fanaticism by making it the unchristian thing to do to not vote for him. His popularity also too an early on nose dive when he was thought to be budhist.
5 stop spinning the truth. Both sides have been caught saying I said this or I had this position and proven later that they did quite the opposite. They have also noth been caught changing their views simply because the other side has the opposite. Stop trying to change the past just so it gets you votes. Both parties wanted us out of Iraq last presidential election and both parties touted that. Now that Obama is trying to get us out all the sudden the other side is showing all the reasons they can dredge up as to why its a bad idea. I dont have an example for the other way at the moment but I am sure it can easily be found.
Short version both sides need to stop lying, taking bribes, leading with religious ferver, using fear tactics, and treating everyone like they are out to get yuo with their agenda.
