FIRSTLY I AM SAD THAT THIS STORY IS ENDING BUT I KNOW YOU WILL GIVE IT A HAPPY ENDING BECAUSE I WILL SHANK YOU IF YOU DON'T.

1. ed's eyes! it is long past time! too bad his shining moment of triumph didn't last long.
2. Alfons pulling off the gloves around Al! So long overdue. Poor Al, he's been a bit of a brat for way too long.
3. He had been happier in America than he had ever been in Germany. ALFONS. ;_;
4. Alfons' remarks over left and right do really well in bringing this piece full circle, compared to the beginning and the frank way Ed talked about his differences and clumsiness.
5. That was not the way Ed should have found out about the amnesia. AL. MORON. /smack
6. I like the little details all over this story, as always. The minutae of the courtroom. Alfons and Winry's talking. Ed, taking charge, confidence restored with his sight.
7. Ed and Alfons talking makes me so happy. It's FINALLY time they did. Even if it hurts Al to say it, it's true, and it's time Al realised Ed is not solely his and should never have to be..

This felt a lot like a transitory chapter leading to the end, and I'm satisfied with the way you tied up several outstanding plot points. The gentle pacing feels like winding down, and you know I can't wait to see whether the boys end up happy after all of this. I do also hope Al can really and truly come to terms with it. His confession felt not entirely genuine, like he was just saying the words, and I sincerely hope that he, Ed and Alfons get time to adjust in peace, peace being hard to come by since the stint in America.

tl;dr: you are a master of tone and pitch and words, and please don't KILL ANYONE OFF or the aforementioned shanking shall occur with EXTREME PREJUDICE.
