An Antidote to Toxic New Age Memes
I'm really starting to have an issue with the New Age thing. There are some truly lovely people there, and that's why I tolerate the rest, but others are just toxic. The Twin Flames thing is one...the Ascension thing is shaping up to be another...I'm sorry, but these two subjects just are too delicate and personal for most people to tolerate others stomping around in their business, particularly when the stomping around culminates in being blamed for lack of "success" if you don't meet someone else's metrics.
Here's an example of a guilt-trip in the making, a list of 28 Signs of Ascension...Gawd forbid if you don't have most of them, you must be destined to be LEFT BEHIND!!!!
1) Moving into a better job that supports the expression of who you are, your passion or your mission, which are basically the same.
Something that is beginning to be discussed quietly but with some urgency is that most of the New Agers who are going around strumming harps and chanting Love...Bliss...Abundance are comfortably in the upper middle class demographic or are on the dole. Usually they don't work and are supported by a husband, partner, or the taxpayers. (A few are genuinely disabled, and this is not aimed at them.) It's very easy to see a bed of roses when one is lying in one. I double dog dare these folks to do a daily commute of an hour or more in the dark, work a real job with grouchy, backstabbing coworkers and pissed off customers, gulp a cold lunch in a dirty breakroom, sit through hours of useless meetings thus ensuring that you have to take your real work home, commute another hour or more in the dark, try to figure out what you can do for dinner that both won't break the budget and not poison you too much since you don't have time to cook, sit down at the computer to finish the work you brought home, pay bills, do taxes, deal with incompetent service providers, drink a beer or a glass of wine to take the edge off, cruise around online for a few minutes to live vicariously through your online friends' lives, realize that you forgot to do the laundry and try to figure out if you have clean clothes for work tomorrow, grab a quick shower and fall into bed alone, knowing that yet another day has gone by without having met anyone interesting or interested, and wondering when that "someday" for love or vacation or retirement will arrive...with a sinking feeling that it never will...for you. I guarantee the love...bliss..abundance thing will dry up after a week of REALITY.
2) Greater financial abundance as you've never quite experienced before.

3) Most of your dreams come true and easily.
See note above, with bonus points for those who remember that PROZAC and similar psychotropic drugs are a popular choice for assuaging the ennui of living in a demographic bubble. The rest of us work our asses off to achieve anything at all and usually see what we earned snatched away at the last second. For example, I'm 48 years old and have worked a full-time job since I was 18, yet I have NEVER had a vacation. (Unemployment does not count.)
4) You attract a new mate/partner or you and your current partner have a relationship revolving around companionship with no issue related "hooks". You love, admire and adore each other for who you are with no dependencies.
This is sort of true for me...both. See item 5. My current partner and I have an agreement...he doesn't have any use for me but as a friend and a source of bill-paying, and I don't have any obligation to him other than paying the bills and remaining friends. That's not exactly no dependencies, but I knew that was what I was signing up for and it remains the right thing to have done. I just hope the fellow in item 5 understands this and it doesn't run him off.
5) As you further evolve, you re-unite with your "twin" who is a total reflection of you. Being together is like being with yourself and you feel a unity to Source as never before.
Not yet, but I was shown a guy by my Anunaki Twin, Enri, and was told that this was the one...and about a month later, there he was, and is everything I expected with a couple of little issues...he also has all of strange bad habits Enri had when he was young. Enri, you told me to trust the process but this seems well outside of operational tolerances. o_O Also, I am painfully aware of the fact that I am certainly not what he was expecting, and am likely never to be recognized similarly.
6) You don't seem to care much about anything and nothing seems to matter anymore. You have evolved out of the Old way of being of drama and emotions.
If anything the drama and emotions are worse. But then I'm operating in a theatre of battle in a way, as it is my mission to break the hold of the control systems by which the Powers That Pretend hold humanity enslaved.
7) You have lost your interest in the "New Age" arena.
Never had much...I'm just here fishing for the ones who have the capacity to outgrow that school of thought.
8) You KNOW that all your needs are met and will always be.
Wrong. Never were...and I have simple needs. I have only what I have earned for myself, which meets my physical needs but not my emotional needs. I tried being without needs, but that was fake...I put on armor so not to feel. The armor is off in the hope that it will let #5 in, and I am beset with all of the years of emptiness trying to process through at once.
9) You no longer have the desire or need to make things happen, "to try" or "to fix" anything. You understand "allowing", "acceptance", "being" and "intent".

10) You can no longer relate to mental and analytical processes. You now relate to "feeling".
Both. Just as science and religion have a common basis in fact, so does thinking and feeling. I just took the armor off and refuse to polarize again.
11) You no longer care what anyone thinks about you or anything else.
I never cared much other than I felt alienated a lot. Gosh golly, it turned out that there was a reason for this: I AM an alien! (Well a recombinant one to begin with, fully one now since the Anunaki repaired my DNA and reconfigured it to their standards.)
12) You understand that there is no right or wrong, good or bad, or black or white. Everything just IS.
That's a fundamental part of being a magickian. No revelation there.
13) You finally realize that there is no dark or light. The appearance of lack of light is simply to provide a contrast to spur us on to creating what really feels good. All energy is always going in the same direction, supporting the light.

Hello...slavery comes when one gives up learning, growing, and thinking for oneself. What a dangerous load of crap.

Hell yeah. I pulled myself out of a death-sentence (complete endocrine failure) a decade ago, and with the help of my Anunaki friends, I'm finally young and healthy. But it was no miracle...it was research, discipline, hard work, and science.
16) You crave a simplicity in all things and require and thrive on simple processes, simple desires and a very simple lifestyle.
Always been that way, but not quite to that extreme. I don't spin my own thread, for example...and I love the Internet, which does run on kerosene, but only when I'm generating my own electricity.

I'm a writer. I do that all the time. In reality, not so much. I have read ahead in the Akashic Record and done a number of forecasting runs on the Tablets of Destiny (a causality engine / AI that has been running for more than 10,000 years and is now fully self aware). I see what's coming and some of it is very, very tricky, very dangerous and scary, and too close to call even WITH foreknowledge. All I can do is my best and hope for a matching outcome.

Bullshit. Unless one is a drug addict, living in a negative environment is a drag. And it was when I began to take my situation personally that I discovered why some of the uglier circumstances in my life - for which I had been swallowing the blame like the good little New Agers say to do "because you create your own reality" - weren't due to anything I was doing...I had a very powerful Aethyric STALKER who had shit on me in one of my earliest lives, so I left him and tried to make my own way, and then the SOB has been following me ever since to make sure that I don't find happiness with anyone else. I knew in my gut that I wasn't creating this unhappiness for myself...I look back on the wasted lives and useless hurt that one lie heaped on me...AND I AM PISSED!
