[Action Post: Four Weeks into Three's Company]
It had been roughly four weeks since the Seborgan came to live with Willem and Kiku. He had mysteriously wandered back into everyone’s lives just as quickly as he vanished, but he was thankful to find that there wasn’t much complaining or inquiry about what went on during the gap in between. Even if they had, he probably deserved as much seeing as his own actions had been rather selfish - he didn’t think about the repercussions when he left everyone behind. Still, they didn’t seem to pry and for the first week or so everything was strangely quiet. He spent a lot of time looking out windows and thinking to himself. Every once in a while he would jot down notes, though no one really knew what about.
It didn’t take long for the couple to have the house to themselves once more. Well, at least some of the time. The first time Marcello went out he left a note behind.
“I’ll be gone for a while. There’s still someone whom I have some catching up to do.” There was a smiley face scribbled at the side.
He returned several hours later from the church on that rainy Tuesday afternoon, and since then he found himself going out almost everyday for this and that - mostly to figure out how to repair his shop, if there was even any hope left on that endeavor. He didn’t want to give up yet, though.
Adjusting to life with Kiku and Wilm went almost smoothly. He still had some carefree habits that could grate on a more organized person’s nerves after a while, and they had some habits of their own that definitely took some getting used to. A simple pair of noise-canceling headphones was probably the best gift Kiku had ever given him.
