Chapter 1: Lukahn’s Prophecy

“So…what exactly is this ‘rock’?” Kody questioned “And why are we headed for Cornelia?” Kody wore red armor. His blond hair was combed, but not a lot. He had the blue crystal.
“’Cause we all had this urge to go to it.” Tom pointed out “and maybe this rock is…CANDY!!”
He wore a blue gi and had spikey blond hair. Tom stared at his red crystal. Then he proceeded to take a bite out of it. One by one, some of his teeth fell out.
“…Now this time that was YOUR fault. I’m not healing you.” Magi said “And I don’t think these are just any old rocks…maybe they’re some type of rare gem!” Magi was dressed in a traditional white cloak, the edges red. You could see some of her blonde hair. She had a green crystal.
“ButmyteethjustfelloutandnowI’mbleedingMagiyougottahealme.” Tom started to talk quickly.
“I’ve got an idea.” The one in a blue cloak and tall, tan pointed hat who held the yellow crystal said. “Raise your own Gil, Tommy”
“ButAmandaImaybethestrongestbutIcantfightallbymyself!”
“’Strongest?!’” Kody growled.
“Secondstrongest!Don’tcutmyheadoff!Kody-dono!!!”
Magi whacked Tom on the head with her staff, exclaiming, "No one calls Kody-dono Kody-dono but me!! Right, Kody-dono?"
Kody paused, then said “Yeah…sure…whatever…” He just continued walking.
“Well, if Tom doesn’t want to raise his own Gil, he’ll just have to learn magic! Right?” Magi nudged Amanda.
“Ohsure!Telltheonlyonewhoneverlearnsmagictolearnmagic!” Tom complained
“…And you know this…how?” Amanda asked
“… … …Idont”
“Whatever.”
With that, they were quiet all the way to Cornelia. The group wandered the town, and talked to some of the people.
“Man…these people need to get out more…Just a bunch of crap about the princess and Warriors of Light and crystals…” Amanda complained.
“Maybe…we’re supposed to meet the king!” Magi suggested.
“Maybe…maybe we’re supposed to buy Tomikazu here a brain.” Kody said as Tom wandered toward the fountain in the middle of the square.
The group headed for the castle. They ventured to the second floor of it and talked to the guard in front of the throne room door.
“The king is searching for the prophesied Warriors of Light.” He said
“…As is everyone else!” Amanda whispered to Magi. Magi giggled.
“Th-those crystals! You must see the king at once!”
“You mean the rocks?” Kody said as the guard dragged the party in.
The King sat on the single chair in the room, which sat on a bright red rug. Strange statues with birds were sitting next to the King, but off the rug. The chancellor stood near by.
“Welcome, travelers. I am told you carry crystals. Is this true?” The King asked
Everyone held up their crystals.
“It’s just as Lukahn’s prophecy foretold: ‘When darkness veils the world, four Warriors of Light shall come.’”
The chancellor butted in “Your Majesty, we cannot be certain that these are the warriors foretold by the prophecy.”
The King paused for a second.
“Yet they stand before us with the crystals. I cannot dismiss this as a mere coincidence.”
Kody, Tom, Magi, and Amanda were silent.
“Crystal bearers, there is a task I would ask of you. Will you not rescue my daughter, Sarah?”
“Garland, a knight once in His Majesty’s service, has abducted Princess Sarah.” The chancellor added. “I ask for your aid in the name of His Majesty, the king of Cornelia. Garland has taking refuge in the Chaos Shrine, which lies to our north. Or course, we did attempt to save the princess ourselves… But Garland is the finest swordsman in the kingdom. We have none who can match him.”
The King nodded and said “I have heard that you wish to journey to the continent to our north. The bridge leading north was lost long ago, making passage impossible. If you can rescue Sarah, I will have to bridge rebuilt as a sign of my gratitude. Go now, Warriors of Light and do not fail me!”
As the group left the party, they talked about what just happened.
“I think the King can read our minds.” Kody commented.
“Why?” Tom asked.
“I clearly don’t remember telling anyone we were wanted to go to the northern continent.”
“He made it sound like we just popped out of nowhere! We have homes!” Magi complained.
“These people are weird.” Amanda decided.
“Agreed.” Everyone else said.
They entered the town again to buy supplies. Kody got a Rapier, and Chain Mail armor, Tom sold his staff and bought Leather Armor. Magi gave her Staff to Amanda and received a Hammer. She also got a Cure spell. Amanda sold her Knife and got a Fire spell. They purchased four potions and two antidotes.
“Okay. We have thirteen Gil left.” Kody said he placed the last of the gold coins into a pouch.
So the left the City of Dreams. But on their way to face Garland, they were ambushed by two wolves, and Tom was killed.
“…Great, now we have to go back to Cornelia!” Kody complained.
As they walked back to Cornelia, they were attacked by four goblins. Everyone but Tom gained a level. When they got to Cornelia, they revived Tom. Thus, they started on their journey again!
