I think that if you spend 5 months ingraining in people that grades are important, that potential employers scrutinize them and make people study and attend class for 10 hours a day you should get spikes drilled into your eyes for making them wait until the end of fucking January for your grades ( Read more... )

Snak-paks are the coolest!

I promise you that if you do bad in a few classes, no employer will give a fuck. Much more important are the other things you have done whilst in law school. Journals (I don't mean livejournal), internships, externships, studying abroad, moot court, and trial team.

Not that I managed to do any of that nor do I have a job, but plenty of my friends who did not have the best grades have gotten their dream jobs even without much involvement.

Please don't let those asshole profs get you down. I promise if you got a B or a C no one will give a shit in the long run. (Not once did I make an A)

And it truly does suck that you don't get your grades for over a month. Fuckers. Lazy profs.

So I'm not in law school, but I'm in school of another sorts so I thought I'd write and tell you I get frustrated with the bureaucratic bullshit in my program. Sara, Jordan, and Ducker have had to sit through quite a few rants from me already and I'm only one quarter into my masters. Maybe that's not all that comforting to you at this point....Portland awaits when your ready to go west to blow off some steam.

I would have been better off not knowing. I took a pretty big ego hit when grades came out but I think I was expecting the impossible. Looking back now, what do you think of your first semester?

And you two better batton down the hatches come summertime if everyone's schedules work out.
