SO, uhh...post Ike update is necessary I guess.
We have a leaning fence and 1 tree that's tipped sideways. Trees gonna haveta go, I think.
Got power back round 10:30 in the AM.
Spent a birthday without power or bars...just so I could say I have. And, you know, the hurricane helped.
Gonna help Jerry with the patching up of his folks' Clinic. Sounds like fun.
Hopefully a bar will be open tonight.
And tomorrow.
And will never close again.
Hopefully.
Brighter topic: Hurricanes help duck breeding. Or at least, hatching, as we have half a dozen new ducklings here that were definitely NOT here before.
Gamestop is working out great, and I will hopefully have Alley work these next 2 weeks (assuming that the alley is still there)(which it should be)(maybe just flooded)(never stopped em before).
Found the source of my back troubles: not wearing all my gear on my belt. Turns out that my back stops hurting when I don my multitool, flashlight, and the works. I was out climbing a tree today to trim dead branches, and not an ounce of pain. I'm doomed to a life of wearing my tools wherever I go, it would seem.
