Ebooks about ebooks+book scanners that scan 1000 pages per minute

This weekend at a party I was discussing imaginary libraries, imaginary cataloguing systems, and fictional librarians (yes, I really am this fun at parties) and, after mentioning the rogue librarian scientist from the novel _Icelander_ also mentioned the Librarians Militant from Vernor Vinge's _Rainbows End_ (2007).
Seeing this in-depth book review of _Rainbows End_

just makes me feel all wired into the cyborg hive mind. Seriously, it has a protagonist with a disability, ebooks, and tricksters--it's difficult to top that in my world, and I'm really lucky this came out after my thsis or, as int he case of Peter Watts's _Blindsight_, there would have had to be another chapter.
