Posinegative (Poem)

May 16, 2007 17:28

We do not wish to permit in our wake
Your negative aura that never negates
You cry your croon of your despair
But truth be told, we’re too tired to care.

We shall isolate and silence your song
For lately you moan like a loser
You state your wish for sympathy
And before us, you are an abuser.

To survive in society requires positivity
Your angst annoys and bores our people
We fight by forbidding you love and friendship
We shall not care if you slip off a steeple.

We deliver to your woes condemnation
Our kind kindles a flame of kindness
But our negativity is as nuanced as yours
We’re hypocrites, but hey, who cares?

You’re right, friends should be friends
Regardless of how they realize the world
But in a society sick of sadness and emotion
We find you guilty of negativity, and give you the finger.
