Books are like blankets.

.....I'm very cold today.

I am wrapped in the blanket that you made for me right now. And it is sheilding me from the bitter cold of the basement. :-)

Are you reading alot or are you wishing that you could read alot?

I love reading with a book, but my hands always get cold and its hard to turn pages with gloves on. Hm.

Hooray for the blanket!

At the library, getting books to read...and I was reading earlier to day too...I've read a lot. I"m physically and mentally freezing right now. I need a cocoon.

And yeah, I"m with you about the frozen hands; I've not yet found a way around that problem. Grr.

solution: wrap hands around mug of hot chocolate/tea while reading book. tasty and effective!!

THis is why it is always better to check out the hard-back from the library. Then you can just lay a clean butter knife or something else long, slender and sorta weighty across the page and you're set. Until you need to turn the page.

And this whole thing only works until your tea cools or until you are full of tea. And then you have to interupt the reading to pee.

Wait! I have it! FINGERLESS GLOVES!!!

alternate hands holding mug to turn pages/hold book open? if hardback, use the nearest handy hold-the-book-open random object? if paperback, trade hands alot?
