My latest discovery, and a true jewel. 36 chapters up to now, and still on-going, though it has not been updated for a few months now. However I am in no position to complain, considering my own updating rate.
What can I say then? It features an original character going by the name of Isra and working for the Brotherhood... but not as an Assassin. In a fast-changing world, you are very soon introduced to the complicated web of conspiracies and such.
Once in a while, the author spares us with some historical notes to better understand the on-going political situation in the Holy Land. I enjoy them greatly and learnt a lot this way (a lot more than when playing AC1 alone).
The story is well written and documented. For what we know about them, the canon characters stay in-character. OC characters are no Mary Sue. And there's a real plot holding the thing together.
I really, really enjoyed it. If you have some time to spare and like the AC universe --more particularly the set up of the first game--, whether you like OCs or not, I highly recommend this story. This is one of the best things you will read in this fandom --if not the best at all. :)
