Phone Sex Operator portraits... really, really interesting.

Mystery on 5th Ave (Oh, if only I had the money to hire someone like this)

You know how sometimes people on your friend's list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you *should* already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Please copy mine below, erase my answers putting yours in their place then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration! One-Word-Answers seldom help anyone out :)

1. First Name: Christina. Not Chris, not Chrissy, not Christy, not Tina. Christina. Sometimes Stina, sometimes X, Christal when I was 13, but mostly Christina.

2. Age: 26 (I turn 27 a week from tomorrow)

3. Location: Washington DC. More specifically, the couch of my apartment in Columbia Heights.

4. Occupation: I'm unemployed until tomorrow, when I go to work in donor relations at the Kennedy Center in DC. That's right bitches, the Kennedy Center!

5. Partner?: stentoriansista, light of my life and has been for almost two years. (For those not keeping track, we have two anniversaries, one of our initial hookup in May and one of when we actually started dating, on my birfday)

6. Kids: Yes? What about them?

I don't have any and I don't plan on having any and us lesbians don't get preggers by accident. This may change. I would like to own a house before kids enter the picture, stentoriansista would need to be out of school and hopefully we'll have a plan for what we want the rest of our lives to look like before kids happen.

7. Brothers/Sisters: Two brothers, one almost 30, one 24. They both live together in Santa Monica in California - the younger works for Google, the older works for a property management company

8. Pets: None. We may get a kitty once our house stops looking like a hovel.

9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:

a) Moved in with the girlfriend a month and a half ago. It's wonderful and scary and sometimes I want to throw things at her and sometimes I think I'm the luckiest person on the planet. So, you know, the usual there.

b) Got a new job. Quit my old one. Start the new one tomorrow. Crazy making.

c) Credit card number got stolen last month. That really put a damper on things, especially since I've been buying a whole new wardrobe for the new job (yuppie wear). It's been a really, really expensive past couple of months, but luckily, the new salary will offset that.

10. School: Sacred Heart Prep in Atherton, CA. Small, private Catholic school, which was really cool in a lot of ways - good academics, great teachers, and I made a good group of friends. On the other hand, I wonder how I would have done at a larger school - if that would have helped me be less shy, stand up for myself more, have a romantic relationship of some kind... There's also a sense of embarrassment that comes from growing up in a wealthy area and having the ability to go to a small private school.

Oberlin College, in Oberlin Ohio. There's so much I wish I did differently here. I isolated myself like a lot. I've never been particularly good at making friends, I like being alone and I can be a bit of a hermit. The combination of these three means that basically I hid myself in my room, drank a lot of alcohol for no reason and never really connected with anyone there the way I wanted to. People talk about the college friendships that last for lifetimes... that never existed for me.

11. Peter & Tereza. Dad is a consultant for decision analysis who works with national & international clients. This meant that he was absent for a lot of my childhood, but was always home on the weekends. He's worked with many, many clients including NutraSweet (we got bags of gumballs every week) and the electric car. He left his job to go start a consulting business right before the dot com bubble burst, but is still going strong (did I mention he's 70?). Mom has always been a stay at home mom - she ran the Sunday School at our church for a lot of my childhood and then got a masters in transpersonal psychology, got a certificate in dreamwork and is currently enjoying her new love, painting water colors (and she's pretty good, too!). They still live in the house in Menlo Park that they bought in 1983 and are enjoying themselves, I think.
