My current roommate just closed on a house. My roommate, the one with a private bathroom who pays $50 more a month than me. Do you think I asked if I could take her room? Oh yes, I did. Not sure what'll happen there, but yes. Cross your fingers. Natural light and a private bathroom are a great trade for having to pay $50 more a month and a smaller room.
On the other hand, she owns most of the furniture in the house, so I have a feeling we might be back to having a cavernous living room again. I can't really afford to buy any new stuff.
