So, on Friday life sucked because Chee was sick and couldn't hang out with me, Troy was in the hospital with what we thought was a broken hip-it's not, we still have no clue-and I was going to have to work all weekend and not visit him.
I left Troy in the hospital on Friday night. I had a bit of a sniffle and a wet cough, and the house seemed unusually cold to me, despite the fact that the heat was on. I took my tempurature, and it was almost 102. Ack! I took some tylenol and went to bed.
Saturday morning, I horked in the sink as soon as I got up, took my temp, 99.8, called in to work, took more tylenol and went back to bed. After I got up, I felt fine, just a teensy bit queasy but nothing more. Now, I just started a new med that makes one queasy in the mornng for a while, so I assumed it was a side effect and my temp was high because of my cold. Troy asked his nurse if it was ok, and she approved me to come visit, althought I was still coughing a bit. We had a lovely visit, and he sent me home to get some sleep, fully expecting that I would be able to work (and visit) on Sunday.
3:00 that morning, I wake up with uncontrollable vomiting. I panic when after an hour I see blood clots and head on to the hospital. ER checks me right in and proceeds to IV me and all the good stuff. I had forgotten how much I hate IVs. They pronounced me dehydrated after I slorped down an entire IV bag in less than 40 minutes, gave me some Zofran. ( I LOVE zofran) and stuck a swab deep (like 4 inches deep) into my sinuses, which hurt SO VERY MUCH. They diagnosed me with Influenza-A, which is the family of flus that includes swine flu, and the doctor told me that he believed it to be swine flu. To actually diagnose it takes a $500 blood test. Then they sent me home with some cough syrup, more Zofran, and a perscription for an antibiotic.
So basically, now not only is Chee sick and Troy is in the hospital, but I have swine flu and I can't leave the house for a week. So I can't see Troy or anyone at all. Thank God for the internet.
Also, Karma? You owe me BIG TIME.
