I missed you, Internets

Well, I did manage to get home, despite having to drive over 2 miles of unplowed roads through 33 inches of snow. It was an Adventure.

My loot:
Adobe CS4
A new digital camera
Four goldfish, promptly dubbed "Eeeny", "Meeny", "Miney", and "Mo"
A box of yarn for my new knitting habit
Several different sets of body wash and lotion, one in rose scent, one in chai spice.
A new coat
A plushie making kit
A tape measure (Random, I know. I was a tad nonplussed. However, I discovered that I have a 26 inch waist.)
Speed Racer
A fedora (I have collected hats ever since I saw Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium)
Kingdom Hearts Re:COM
The Chocolate Lover's Cookbook
Assorted munchies

Evan was delighted to see me, as usual. We spent most of the week playing together quite happily, either outside in the snow, inside with his toys or just chasing each other around, or on my PS2. We dug a huge snow cave big enough for both of us and then some in a mountain of snow tossed off the roof, set up and enacted WWIII (pirates vs. medeval knights vs. cowboys vs. indians vs. assorted other toys), and got halfway through Kingdom Hearts, playing as a sort of tag-team.

My mother and I managed not to clash about anything, even the Playstation, to my delight and surprise. I think she was mostly delighted to have me playing video games with Evan in his bedroom so she and Daddy could watch a movie or two alone.

My dad and I spent an enjoyable morning downloading Adobe CS4 traning videos and geeking out over the new features. He promised to help me install it sometime soon so I can get comfortable before classes start. He also insisted on sharing his favorite christmas present with me. This was a bottle of our neighbor's homemade Blackberry Hooch. It's made from wild blackberries and 100 proof vodka. I am delighted to report that it is fabulous stuff, and I was loath to leave it at home.
Well, it's all for the best. The stuff gives me giggle fits and then sends me to sleep.

All in all, I had a great time, and will cherish my memories forever.

wait what?, gaming is my life, family life, mom
