Productive day was highly productive!
Woke up at 8am, which was bizzare, because before I went to bed at midnight, I consumed a double chocolate chunk vegan cookie that was SO GORRAM TASTY. I salavate just thinking of the deliciously creamy, chocolatey goodness. and I'm amazed I wasn't forced into insomnia forever by the sugar overload.
Anyhoo. Yesterday was an adventure day, as we went to spend mom's State Park Parking Passes before they expire. We went to Crystal Cove state park (but not to crystal cove itself) and walked on the beach during low tide. Lots of exposed rock that is normally underwater, so there were masses upon masses of closed-up sea anemones. I saw a starfish too, lurking in the shadow of a rock covered in mussels. It did not rain on us, though it was supposed to.
And since the rain took a break today, to return tomorrow, and since I didn't have anything further to do on client webpages until I get responses from them, I took it upon myself to go out and saw off a few branches from the dead plum tree in the backyard. With a hand saw. My wrists are now very sore. Once I got the green trash filled, I checked for messages, but still nothing, so I then went out and organized some boxes in the garage. I found floppy disks. FLOPPY DISKS. How very stone age.
I discovered today, when I went out for the morning to get groceries and wander around, that Ram was no longer at the petstore. Ram is, or was, a white and blue dragonscale halfmoon plakat betta fish that I dearly wanted to adopt, but as I'm not allowed a fish, I couldn't. But I often went over to say hello to him. Now he's gone; either he got adopted, in which case I hope he has a good home and a big tank to swim in, or he died, in which case at least he's not living in a tiny cup anymore.
But I still want a betta. So my fish ownership research continues. Since I still have nothing to do and its only 4pm, I think I'll compare tank lighting that can fit into a 16" hood.
