Several thoughts to start the day.

Good morning all! Er, well, afternoon. But I just woke up, so it's morning for me. And I have several thoughts I feel I should get out there that really have no relation to each other, but must be said.

I dreamed I had a kid, and he/she - unclear as to what - had an imaginary friend, and s/he used the friend as an excuse, like "but they told me to eat all the cookies! But they told me to write on the walls!" So Keso and I had to sit down with hir and explain that imaginary friends were just as real as human friends, only with the ability to be invisible to all but the people they choose to be seen by, and if any friend, human or imaginary, tells you to do bad stuff you know is going to get you in trouble, they're not much of a friend.

It was oddly insightful and solemn for a dream, and not flavoured by fandoms as they usually are. And I woke up with cotton-mouth and my head buzzing from dry allergies. Ugh.

I don't like my own art that much. Sure, when I come up with something awesome, I'll squee about it, but deep down I wish my lines were cleaner-looking and my colouring and shading was nicer, and that everything looked perfect like the art of some other authors I admire. And I can never draw anything the same way twice, it seems, especially on the subject of kesomon. The style I use for my beloved friends varies constantly, and I can never draw an equally balanced number or position of feathers for their wings and tails. In fact, I can never really get the tailfeathers right at all, just something approximately correct.

So I've been pondering the possibility of commissioning some anatomy guides to be drawn by someone who's a much better artist than I am. I don't know who, and I'm not even sure I want it done, because it feels like a bit of a cheat. But the thought is there and brewing.

and if I get anatomy guides done, do I also get art of Keso and my fursona since I'm at it?

I kinda wish I was going to Anthrocon this year, because Ash will be going, but to do so would be a chunk of savings I don't have, and I wouldn't be able to get a new computer chair, and I always catch con-crud and it's been so long since I was properly sick that I'm reserved about willingly venturing into crud-territory. So I won't be going, because of lame excuses.

I guess that's it for now. It's laundry day today, and I hope to get my resume pages for my website done, and maybe tackle a bit of that dropdown menu that is the current bane of my existance, before I give into the sudden urge to find and watch all existing Sanctuary episodes. It's a crazy show.

Nope, wait, one more thing, since I just got my official graduation photo proofs in the email. Argh, I HATE THE WAY I AM PHOTOGRAPHED. Why can I never have a good-looking picture? x_x
