More idears
Ho hum; sitting in class, listening to a lecture on stuff I already know. It means I can think of new plot ideas for fics I'll never write.
1) I was reading a fic by cheri when this idea came to me. In her fic, an alternate 10, having not seen Adelaide commit suicide in Waters of Mars, thinks he's still Time Lord Victorious and can do anything, so he's off to bugger his own timeline and save Rose during Doomsday. pfft. So Eleven and Nine have to come stop him.
Anyways, my idea: In a situation similar to this, where a future or past Doctor has gone a bit nuts with power, but only a Doctor after Six, another Doctor shows up to stop him, and at one point calls him Valeyard, maybe seriously, maybe derogatorily, certainly intending to try and snap his other self out of it and show him he's being bugnuts stupid.
2) How about a fic where the world isn't ending, there are no dangerous aliens, and it isn't 10 minutes to Belgium - but the Doctors cross paths anyways. I have in my head this scene, where a companionless Doctor, maybe 10 in a reflective absentminded mood, is strolling along on a planet and bumps into a companion - maybe a future one, like Rory or Amy, and then the future Doctor pops in and everyone has a nice civil conversation and meet-n-greet. For some reason, if Ten and Eleven ever met, I think they'd get on better than other Doctors have, if they met at the right time. And to see a happier future, from Ten's point of view, might do him good; Ten doesn't have to know that Eleven is the Next Doctor, just that he's a Doctor who is now happy. Did that make sense?
