So, Tuesday, my parents scarpered off to the east coast for two weeks to visit relatives and attend that big Rationality convention thing whats-his-face, the Daily Show guy, organized. Wednesday, Grandma too vanished to visit yet other relatives, and I was left here alone.
So on Wednesday I got dressed in my Hogwarts costume and went to the school to have some fun. They were doing a small halloween afternoon booth event or something. I wandered about a bit, shot a plushie off a box and won a package of starburst candy. I walked the catwalk three times in a costume contest and didn't win. I walked a cakewalk a few more times, spotted Ray again and said hello, and actually won a round, but since I couldn't eat the cake I made them give it to someone else. And then I won second place in a pumpkin decorating contest, which earned me the pumpkin I used, a movie ticket, and a bunch of coupons to food places I can't eat at anyways.
And, of course, since karma likes to kick me in the butt, it was remarkably hotter that day than it had been for weeks, and I think I got mild heat stroke. I came home, stripped to my skivvies, and went to bed with a bottle of water, and I haven't felt well at all since. And naturally, I'm alone in my plight.
Also I think the turkey in the fridge is poisoning me, my stomach hurts when I eat it, but its the only blasted thing left. I'm wasting away; I can count my ribs far more easily now than usual. x_x
Damn food. Damn sickliness.
Anyways. Been passing my bedridden time training Cory's stats on Neopets every 4 hours, and watching Third Doctor episodes with Jo in them, cuz I was inspired by Death of the Doctor. I've always liked Jo. And I'm still under the impression that Frontier in Space is the best piece of Master/Jo subtexty shipping ever. I'm up to The Green Death now. Why is it these episodes always seem much longer than they really are? x_x I dunno if I'll continue with Third Doctor eps after GD, or go back in time and watch some Ian eps from One's reign.
