Rory and the Romans
Adjfshk I just had the most brilliant idea, which requires a complete suspension of alternate timelines and timeframes but is utterly genius anyways.
Rory becomes a Roman. Lets entertain, for a moment, that the whole Pandorica incident takes place before The Romans occurred.
Imagine: When the roman legions bring the Pandorica back to Rome, Rory runs into Ian, Barbara, Vicki and One, either all of them or only a few in particular. Perhaps Rory's legion runs into the slave traders who've taken Ian and Barbara captive. Or the ruler of the era summons the Lone Centurion to an audience at the same party the Doctor is mucking about at. Or maybe the tales of the Pandorica reach the Doctor and company, who then go to investigate and meet Rory.
The possibilities are endlessly fun.
