Peter Burke, Angel of the Lord
Heheh. I'm re-watching White Collar Season 1 in prep for tonight, even though I won't get to watch the S2 premiere till tomorrow, and in episode three Burke says, essentially, when speaking about the possibility of a bible healing the sick through miracles,
"I'm a lapsed catholic. I prefer my miracles with a little more smiting and lighting."
And for some reason, ideas popped into my head:
1) What If Peter Burke was a vessel for an angel?
2) What if it was Peter who Castiel chose instead of Jimmy to raise Dean from the pit?
and 3) In a totally AU twist, what if Neal sold his soul to save Kate from demons that kidnapped her (Fowler, probably), and Peter was chosen by angels as a vessel to save him from the pit?
I think Angel!Peter/Saved!Neal has potential. Especially, y'know, if they knew eachother before the whole hell thing. With the handprinting, and the wing!porn, and the awesome of Elizabeth probably being God or something, cuz you know she'd be something good. Maybe Elizabeth could be a prophet, or a psychic, or heck, a reformed hunter. Or just plain, normal, awesome El.
