Day 7, not that lucky

Oct 12, 2008 19:22

Well, we've reached the end of the week. I arrived in DC last sunday, and it is now sunday again. This sunday was better than last sunday simply for the lack of airplanes. Huzzah.

Today I slept till one, thanks to a migrane last night, and then me and dad went to the natural history museum. NHMs, by the way, are tied with planetariums as the coolest free place in the world to go to. We saw an IMAX movie in 3D about giant dinosaurs, and there was a big ocean exhibit, and the dinos of course. Some of them had been removed so that they could reassemble them in more up-to-date poses and stuff. But the Rex was definitely more accurate than the iconic front entrance Rex at the Denver NHM.

No hating on the Denver Rex, I love Denver.

Anyways, after that, we came back for drinks and went to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner, because in DC, everything closes at 5 or 6 on Sundays. The east rises and sets with the sun.

So now I'm laying on the crappy pullout having exhausted my supply of Big Bang Theory episodes until tomorrow's all new show, and listening to my Riverdance CD.

I should probably shower and go to sleep, since it's 10:30. Gods my legs hurt, I wish I'd gone soaking in the spa.

Tomorrow we hit the spy museum and a pub. XP Bleh. To the latter, not the former.
