[2012.03.24] FM Iwate - Arashi

Oct 07, 2012 06:31

It's sunday! Baystorm-day! They said at the last show that a new song from the upcoming album will be played today (I'm personally hoping for Kakenukero!) Nino talked about the popcorn album at his last show and I really like the things he said, so I'm beginning to have big expectations for this album. ^_^ Anyway.. here is a translation of the last Iwate show! It was hard to write a summary, and I DO recommend listening to the audio while reading. There's a lot of hilarious sounds hard to put into words. Thank you for all the comments! I read them all!

Date: 2012.03.24
Radio station: FM Iwate
Participants: Arashi
MC: Nino
Audio: Mediafire (pass: aperfectanswer) credit: ysm836
Summary: The last Iwate show! Ohno shines with his absence.. Aiba is forced to do an impersonation and Jun is impressed by a fan. They hold the last Sakurai Sho's perfect answer and before it even begins the boys lose hope. Aiba receives tons of privileges and manages to create a miracle. Two of the members stand against each other in a final dialect battle. Who will lose and get the impersonations punishment?!
Notes: Keep the audio to yourself, please. And also, please don't direct link to my journal anywhere. If crediting, please just use Keshigomiu. If people wanna find, they can search.

Nino: Everyone listening to FM Iwate, this is Arashi's Ninomiya kazunari!

Ohno: Ohno Satoshi!
Sho: Sakurai Sho!
Aiba: Aiba Masaki!
Jun: Matsumoto Jun!

Nino: After a long time it's the five of us hosting this!

Sho: Long time no see..

Nino: It's been a while since the five of us gathered for this show. We'd like to do this with a fun feeling!

Jun: Yeah!

Nino: After the earthquake, we've brought music and our talk through this show in hopes that it would bring even a little bit of strength to everyone. After one year, this radio is now airing its last show. We believe there are still a lot of people suffering from the earthquake, so we would like to bring energy to everyone in various ways from now on.

Sho: So for the last show it's the five of us.

Aiba: Let's make a fun radio show.

Sho: Mmm..

Nino: The first show was aired the 23rd of April.

Aiba: Ah, really?

Jun: It's been really fun, hasn't it?

Sho: Radio is different from TV and such.

Nino: Yeah, yeah..

Aiba: The atmosphere as well. Also, there were some unexpected discoveries when there were two of us hosting.

Sho: Mmm..

Nino: Talking just the two of us feels like it mostly happens at radio.

Aiba: That's right.

Nino: At the first show we did a 'Wanko Soba** quiz' as an urgent corner.
** A style eating soba noodles, originating from the Iwate prefecture. The bowl is much smaller than the standard and it's mostly only a mouthful in each bowl.

Sho: [laughs]

Aiba: The five of us?

Nino: Yeah, all five of us did a wanko soba quiz.

Sho: The five of us?

Nino: Yeah..

Ohno: Wanko soba?

nino: Mmm..

Jun: Sho-kun probably researched about it.

Nino: We also did a quiz about what Iwate was number one at.

Sho: Ah, right..

Aiba: Ah.. We did, we did.

Sho: Ah, the Kenminsen** quiz, yeah..
** Sho participated in a show called Kenminsen SP. it was a show finding out what the prefectures was number one at/ what was popular in different prefectures.

Aiba: We did, we did.

Nino: This is the last show, so let's have fun until the end.

All: Yeah!

Nino: We've received many requests from Iwate, there's one song that stood out that we'd like to start with. 'Boku ga boku no subete' with Arashi.

♪ Boku ga boku no subete♪

Nino: That was 'boku ga boku no subete' with Arashi. Now then, we've received a lot of messages from Iwate, so let's move on reading. Sho-san!

Sho: Yes! It's from 'Shouzetsu-Zekkouchou chou-san'. "Hearing this broadcast is the last made me feel a little lonely, but thank you for cheering us up with this radio show for one year! It was extremely fun, like Sakurai Sho's perfect answer, Riida's 'Arashi, the song and you' and Aiba-chan's imitation of Youn-a**. I feel a little disappointed for not being able to guess 'Hoshi no Freeway' when Riida and Aiba-chan held the intro quiz. But it was very amusing! Hearing Arashi talking so happily really made us happy and cheered us up. Thank you! From now on cheer us up with your smiles and songs."
** A korean model doing modeling and TV activities in Japan.

Nino: I see..

All: Thank you

Aiba: We're grateful.

Sho: We're happy they are cheered up by this.

All: Mmm..

Jun: We've done various things, haven't we?

Sho: & Nino: That's right..

Sho: It's been fun, hasn't it?

Nino: Yeah.. Matsumoto-san, wanna go next?

Jun: Yeah.. We received this from 'Akki-san'. "Hello Arashi!"

All: Hello!

Jun: "From spring on, I'll be a high school student. The graduation ceremony was held the other day and feeling the season of parting has come made me a little lonely. I also felt lonely hearing Arashi's radio show will end because I've been cheered up a lot by this radio. After the earthquake, Arashi conveyed their feelings with talk and music, through radio and TV, and it made me deeply moved every time. Seeing Arashi always thinking about and doing their best for the victims made me once again realize how happy I am to be a fan of Arashi. Truly thank you for doing this show for one year! I guess it's hard with work, so please take care of yourself and do your best! I'll love you forever!"

All: Thank you!

Jun: That's the kind of season it is now.

Sho: Right.. Since it's march.

Jun: Though it's also a season of encounters so..

Sho: Surely..

Jun: Please live happily..

Nino: That's right.. So Youn-a-chan!

Aiba: Yes?

Nino: Please read a mail.

Aiba: I'm not Youn-a..

Sho: Let's take it from greetings.

Nino: Greetings, yeah..

Aiba: [Aiba does an impersonation on Youn-a, probably with lines from one of her commercials.]

Nino: [laughs]

Aiba: A message from 'Still…-san' "Arashi Oban desu**!"
** Good evening in the Tohoku dialect.

Sho & Jun: Oban desu.

Aiba: "I've kept listening to Arashi's songs everyday for eight years."

Sho: Amazing! Thank you!

Aiba: "It cheers me up every time. At hard times, I recall the lyrics of Fight song: 'People are people, you are yourself, you lose once you start comparing' and do my best in order not to lose against myself. There are a lot of lyrics that gives me courage. I'm really happy to have met Arashi."

Sho: At the age line it says up to 19.

Nino: She's in her teens.

Sho: That means she's been listening all the time since elementary school.

Nino: Right?

Jun: That's awesome, isn't it? Continue listening for eight years, Even if it wasn't Arashi I'd be tired of it.

Sho: [laughs] You said that really smoothly.

Nino: But during those eight years she's received a lot of courage she says.

Jun: We're really pleased.

Sho & Aiba: Right..

Nino: No but really.. We've keppatta, haven't we?

Jun: Keppatta?

Sho: What's wrong?

Nino: We've keppatta

Aiba: What, what?

Sho: Ganbatta (Done our best/done my best)

Nino: Yeah! You remember, don't you!

Sho: Of course I remember, since we did those questions.

Jun: What's up? Suddenly using dialect like that means?

Aiba: Perhaps?

Jun: That one?

Nino: Since we're all five here at the last show.

Jun & Sho: Mmm..

Nino: Let's do that corner.

Sho: Which?

Nino: Sakurai Sho's perfect answer! Also known as Iwate dialect quiz the final!

Sho: Yeeaah!

Jun: The final!

Nino: It's the final, yeah..

Sho: For the people of Iwate this corner has always been Perfect answer.

Nino: [laughs] that's right.. It began with Sakurai Sho's perfect answer.

Jun: For Iwate, yeah.

Nino: For Iwate it's Perfect answer.

Sho: I feel obligated and apologetic.

Nino: since it's the last show..

Jun: the final.

Nino: It will be decided.

Sho: the overall number one, right?

Nino: Yeah.

Aiba: Ah, so the ranks will be decided.

Nino: I'll announce the ranks now, and afterwards I have a little suggestion. At first place is Matsumoto-san.

Jun: Thank you..

Nino: His number of correct answers is nine.

Sho: Well, well..

Aiba: Is nine a lot?

Sho: I bet we're right behind.

Nino: It's surprisingly. The difference between first and second. Ohno-san is second place, congratulations.

Ohno: Oh!

Nino: Ohno-san's number of correct answers is… four!

Jun: that was quite a gap.

Aiba: A gap of five.

Nino: And at third place is Ninomiya-san and Sakurai-san at the same point, three.

Sho: That's harsh.

Nino: Fifth is Aiba-san..

Aiba: Yes.

Nino: Zero points.

Aiba: That's hard. [laughs]

Nino: And the amount of questions this time is… Two.

Aiba: [laughs] It's already decided I'm last.

Nino: [laughs] eh?

Aiba: Since I'm last it might not be my place to say this, but can't you for example increase the points to stir things up?

Jun: since there's only two questions..

Aiba: Yeah, only two.

Nino: That's right.

Aiba: Like five points for each one.

Nino: Yeah, let's make it five points.

Aiba: ah, really?!

Sho: Well, if we don't, Aiba-san will..

Aiba: My motivation just got higher.

Nino: So this time it's five points.

Aiba: Thanks!

Nino: And I'll also give Aiba some privilege.

Sho & Jun: [laughs]

Aiba: Thanks!

Sho: We have a really nice teacher.

Aiba: I might win today.

Nino: So let's start. From 'Airin-san' "Hello Arashi!"

All: Hello!

Nino: "Since it's the last dialect quiz I want to participate. In the Iwate dialect, gombohoru."

Sho: Gombohoru.

Aiba: Gombohoru.

Nino: "What do you think it means?"

Aiba: Is it one word, gombohoru?

Nino: Yes. By the way, the people performing this act are called Gombohori.

Sho: Eh?

Aiba: Can I go? I wanna win.

Nino: Let's go, Aiba-san.

Aiba: Something like ebaru (be proud)

Sho: Acting self-important?

Aiba: That, yeah.. How's that?

Nino: It's wrong.

Aiba: Ah, is that so?

Sho: [laughs]

Nino: Shall we go with a hint? Who in Arashi fits this word.

Sho: Who is gombohoru?

Nino: Yeah, the way Airin-san sees it. "Going on the image of commercials, I think it's Riida." what commercial may she mean! Ohno-san does commercials on his own but there's also commercials together with all of Arashi.

Sho: Awadatsu? (to bubble, to foam)

Nino: AAh, not that commercial!

Aiba: Karai mono ga suki (liking spicy dishes)

Nino: Aaaahh..

Aiba: It's wrong? gombohori?

Nino: It's wrong.

Jun: Hmm.. Dada wo koneru? (to whine, to throw a tantrum)

Nino: Correct!

Ohno: [laughs]

Sho: Awesome!

Nino: [laughs]

Ohno: That was no joke!

Nino: Yeah.. Where did he get that from! Did you see the answer? At the first guess.. He was like a sniper..

Sho: Yeah..

Ohno: Was it the exact answer?

Nino: Yeah, it was.. The answer is 'Dada wo koneru'

Sho & Nino: [laughs]

Sho: Each and every word correct..

Aiba: That's awesome.. Iwate's awesome.

Sho: Matsujun's amazing. He's now in a decisive lead at fourteen points. [laughs]

Nino: He's got fourteen points, yeah.. [laughs] We can't reach him.

Jun: There's a ten point difference between first and second.

Ohno: That was amazing.

Nino: I wasn't expecting that. Well, well, there's still more. Next is..

Sho: Make it ten points.

Aiba: Ten points.. ten points still isn't enough.

Sho: Right.. fifteen points..

Nino: fifteen points!

Aiba: Thank you!

Nino: And Aiba-san will have some privilege. this is from 'Mucchi-san'

Jun: Thank you.

Nino: "This is my dialect quiz: Zuppari"

Sho: Zuppari..

Nino: This word is used at Iwate volunteers homepage.

Sho: eh?

Nino: So it's probably a..

Aiba: famous one..

Nino: A major word. Zuppari Volunteer Iwate.

Sho: Ganbaru (To do one's best)

Nino: In that direction, yeah..

Jun: Zuppari Volunteer? that's how you use it?

Aiba: Egao (smile)

Nino: That kind of feeling, yeah.. Two points!

Sho: [laughs]

Aiba: Two points?

Nino: Yeah, Aiba-san received two points..

Sho: So nice..

Aiba: what's with that.

Nino: Used in a sentence "At the bottom of the chestnut tree, there are zuppari of chestnuts"

Sho: Tsuzuite iku (continuing)

Nino: Wrong..

Aiba: Ippai (a lot)

Sho: Ippai (imitating Aiba)

Aiba: Ippai..

Nino: Aiba-san..

Aiba: Yes..

Nino: Correct! Congratulations!

Sho & Ohno: Really?

Jun: Ippai..

Nino: It means ippai or takusan (many, a lot).

Sho: Amazing..

Nino: And therefore..

Jun: Seriously?!

Nino: Aiba san has..

Aiba: How many points?

Nino: Aiba-san got fifteen points now so the total is seventeen points. You're at first place, congrats!

Aiba: thank you!

Sho: Amazing!

Jun: Seriouslyy?

Sho: Congrats.. That's certainly a perfect answer.

Nino: [laughs] At second place is Matsumoto-san with fourteen points.

Jun: It was close.

Nino: Third is Ohno-san, four points. And last place is me and Sakurai-san, three points..

Sho: It's regrettable.

Jun: Nino wasn't able to participate this time, so what shall we do?

Aiba: Yeah, he's pitiful..

Nino: there's one more question available.

Aiba: Matsujun, read it..

Nino: A final contest, huh?

Aiba: Only the two of you, okay?

Jun: they probably know this..

Sho: So it's first come, first served.

Nino: Yeah..

Aiba: Ah, I see..

Nino: Is it used nowadays?

Aiba: You use it in terms of these folklore stories.

Nino: Oshimai, Oshimai (the end, the end)

Aiba: Aaaaah!!

Jun: Sort of, sort of.

Nino: [laughs]

Jun: There's one more to use, right?

Sho: Why is Aiba this noisy?

Nino & Sho: [laughs]

Nino: Eh?

Aiba: You see, it won't end with oshimai, oshimai.

Nino: Ok, since it's a folklore tale.

Jun: I'll reveal a great hint, ok? It's a magyou word.**
** A word beginning with ma, mi, mu, me or mo.

Sho: Magyou?

Nino: Matane (Goodbye/ See you later)

Jun: Wrong.. You won't say "matane, matane!" at the end of a tale, right?

Nino & Aiba: [laughs]

Sho: Medetashi, Medetashi (And they lived happily ever after)

Nino: AAAH!

Jun: Correct!

Sho: What a relief! Magyou is the best!

Nino: 'Dondohare' has that kind of meaning?!

Jun: 'Dondohare' means medetashi, medetashi.

Sho: I didn't know it at all.. I thought it was more in the direction of appare.

Jun: So this means..

Nino: This is bad!

Jun: The results of the dialect quiz is in the order:

Nino: So I'm at last place.

Jun: Is there a punishment?

Nino: Yeah, there's a punishment for the one at last place. Number one can give a punishment to the person in last place.

Aiba: I placed first without that much of a strain so..

Sho: Certainly.. [laughs]

Aiba: Yeah, so it's okay for me to decide Ninomiya-kun's punishment?

Jun: That's right..

Nino: Right..

Aiba: What to do? I wanna make you do imitations..

Nino: Ah, that's ok.. Since I'm at last place.
