Mae govannen, all, and a very happy new year to you! I apologize for dropping of the face of the planet for awhile, but Christmas and Session took all of my time and energy. Plus the fact that I have only dial up at home...*sigh*. This is a continuous issue. To start my (hopefully) brief recap, exams went well. I finished them all without any death involved, and I have an A in Classics and Psych, as well as an A- in French. I was delighted that I didn't fail French, and am definitely looking forward to the second course in this semester.
As for Christmas...it happened. There were some issues, and some stress involved, so we'll sumarize and say that Christmas just sort of...came and went, without the usual Christmas-y feeling that comes with it. I felt a bit jipped...However, I ended up with some fabulous loot^_^ Lots of new music(Puccini, Bach, Enya and the Prince Caspian Soundtrack) some books( Jaguar Knights, a historical atlas, and American Gods), and many articles of clothig(these are the obvious, scarves, shirts, and such). I also ended up with some fabulous tea accessories^_^(strainer, teapot, thermos, and tea), and some excellent calendars(motivational and old English words(one for rach day of the year)). All in all, a very spectacular haul, and everyone liked all the things that I got them^_^
Then it was Session. Ahh, Session. A week of intense debate, and emotional rollercoasting. All in all, it was pretty fabulous, with new friendships formed, and old ones strengthened. I finally relinquished my position as Deputy Provincial Secretary, and ended up as the Minister of Membership. I'm still reeling a bit, but i have na excellent Deputy, so things should be all right. I ended up with a good deal of sleep, except for the night of the 30th, when I went to bed at 6:30, and woke up at 7:30. It was a little rough, but what the hell. After Session, I slept and packed. 'Twas fabulous. Then, on the First, I went for Fondue(I think that's how that's spelled...), D&D(A new experience for me, and I prefer free RP), and hot tubbing(complete with frozen hair and snowballs) at Starke's. This was a fabulous night, on which much conversation was held with very dear friends, and little sleep was had (to bed at 5:30, up at 9:30).
And today, well, I'm back in the city. I shopped today with my mama, which was pretty fabulous(bought another bra that fits^_^_^_^_^_^) and just finished a fabulous supper^_^ I have been informed that my 8 year iold cousin is weaving me a scarf on her new loom, and that I have no Shampoo^_^
I must say, I look forward to the new year with some trepidation and some heartache, but, as always, I deal, and I'm hoping for better results this semester, both academically and socially. A toast to the challenges, laughter, tears, jouy and heartache of last year, and best of luck for 2009!
