Mad nights in Norwich
I have to write this down as it was such a good night.
Last night I was doing the usual managing Square's music night, doing the sound, etc. I had 6 acts cancel on me all in all over the last week for last night. I eventually managed to get Jim, my usual fave to play, then I played a set. 5 minutes before Louis was due on he texted me to say that he wasn't going to play! This angel of a guy called Tim walked in and asked if he could get a gig, I passed him my Guitar and said 'play now, it's your audition'. So he did and he was brilliant! He is also in a band called The Shadow Project, electronic prog rock band...check them out.
Bridgefire headlined (www.myspace.com/bridgefire) They are my current fave band at the moment! They were awesome, the sound was brilliant last night!
After I got quite drunk (old habits), I was being my usual cheeky thinking I'm funny self and talking about rampant rabbits to one of the band members mum...weird convo!
Me, Oz and Becca left Squares around 11.45 to head to Spencers. Ian/Andy were playing so I had a Jam with them on stage which was brilliant, I was mega drunk by this point! We decided to head on to a chav bar called 'excape' (you really do want to leave when your in there) and I sang Karaoke (ewww) but I sang Aretha Franklin so not too bad. Me, Oz and Becca ended up saucily dancing away. We got offered an audition at Spearmint Rhino's in Norwich next week by some manager typo, cosher!
We then wanted more action so we went busking outside ponana's where we made a whole new legion of fans that followed us home to make sure we got home safe!
What a brilliant evening and I haven't had that much fun for ages!
I fucking love my wife!!! She's the best!
