Farewell Noel...

Feb 03, 2006 15:38

It's a sad day today. My sisters new pet, Noel, drowned in the pool today.

She got her about 4 months ago, and dad as usial tossed her outon the deck cause he was pissed that Julie wasn't looking after her (she was sleeping) Normaly this happens around 8AM. He ALWAYS tosses ALL the dogs out there, and we have told him time and time again, not to put Noel out there cause she is doesn't know whats on the deck (the pool).

I was working on my Math home work and I heard everyone rushing around downstairs. Went down stairs to check out what was going on. They told me Noel was missing... and there was a hole in the pool cover. Like a ton of bricks it me. I ran outside as fast as I could but sadly I wasn't fast enough. Julie(my sister) looked under the tarp and saw Noel floating there, and she broke down. Mom was already out there and ran over to get her out, I ran an slid next to her (please not for future reference... sliding on a deck, not a good idea). Her eyes wenr't glazed over, we tried CPR, mouth to mouth, but I knew. Her being put out around 8AM, finding her at 1:30 chances wern't good at all. Maybe if there was a pet ER closer, maybe. But the nearest one is 20 miles away. We tried and tried and tried for 30 minutes, and we finaly had to give up.

Mom told me to go get a towel, so I did, and also to get dad outside. Went inside, called him, actualy it was more of a commanding yell, and found him upstaid. He said what, told him Noel was dead, and he said he knew. 0.0 Mt. St. Hellens had nothing on me after what happened next. we got into a fight, he tried to shift blame on Julie for not taking care of the dog, and shifted it righ back on him. HE was the one who put Noel out there. HE knew what COULD happen, we told him SEVERAL times, and he REFUSED to acknowlage our feelings and wishes. He tried the the Alpha male, "this is my house" thing... that was a mistake.

He knew what was happening, and what does he do... CONTUINES TO WORK ON THE FUCKING FLOOR IN THE ATTIC!!!

I took the toewl outside, Julie was screaming her head off, Heather was trying to calm her down, mom refused to give up. I went back inside to try to think of something, ANYTHING, and guess who I cought trying to sneek out of this... DAD. "I'm going out, I'll talk to Julie about this when I get back". >.> Everyone came in at that time Mom and Julie crying like crazy. Heather holding Noel, she took her outside and was walking around. Mom cought me stoping dad and went after him begging him not to go.

Sadly having a 500 ft long drive way doesn't keep the neaboars away. The lady across the street came up half way. and some stranger came up in his car. >.> 20 minutes later the cops came for a "Possible Domestic Abbuse" report. LoL, what was really funny, 500 ft driver (remember now) and the park on the street. for of them had their hand on the holsters... one was alreay unbuttoned <.<. I love this neaborhood.

Anyways, after about another hour of crying and talking and everything, we buried her in the garden next to the borch in the front yard. I'll be working on a momorial later next week. Mostly to keep the other dogs from trying to dig her up.

She was so young, so full of life. To have something like this to happen. She was always playful.
