Follow-up to Breaking The Rules. Final version is here, this time with something that looks more like a description/explanation about these two characters.
I'll agree that Ian has quite a mieschievous smile (for someone proposing his girl, that is), and that's on purpose. I wouldn't go as far as to say that he's up to no good, but he's at least up to breaking quite an old rule/taboo, they both know it, and they both are wrapped within a mix of fear, awe, anticipation, and strong desire to show the rest of the world what they're able to do together. There goes the fluffy and romantic declaration. Ian Thorn isn't a very romantic person anyway. (Come to think of it, he'd rather be a "no bullshit" type of persona.)
