Apparently I didn't post this.....
This past Tuesday, I went in to work at the tutoring job (yay!) and saw everyone in a meeting- the other 4 tutors and our "supervisor," Warren. And he was explaining that due to all the school board budget cuts, the summer tutoring program was being cancelled.
Excuse me?!
Yeah, so this job that I was so worked up about getting, stressed about, and worked so hard to get into last week? Basically, all for nothing. This past Thursday was my last day.
Technically, I'm still an employee at Barnes & Noble, so I could work there. But for $7/hr???? With Scott not getting O/T? Uh huh. I've come to find out that I like eating and enjoy feeding my family, thankyouverymuch. So what kind of job am I going to get on such short notice, a month into summer vacation, that I really only want for about a month? Either nothing, or a telemarketing job, which I HATE, loathe, and despise. I am trying to get into a company (yet again) because I know they only have inbound calls, which I think is bette than cold-calling people.
The good news, though, is that I've hired a resume service, very reasonably priced, and should have a rough draft of my resume from them by Wednesday, which is good, because I'm starting to see teacher jobs all over the place now. But, then again, not any listings from Pinellas County Schools. *sigh* Oh well.
Other than that, we're all doing ok. Colin went to the pedi, and doc said to switch formulas since sometimes they can develop lactose intolerance, and it seems to be helping quite a bit. I haven't heard back from her regarding any tests they ran, so I assume he's not going to wither away to nothing.
