Today
Today has been a very at-home kind of day.
Colin didn't sleep much last night, poor baby, and was up at his usual time this morning, around 8ish. He's had about 3-4 poopy diapers so far today and, I think, is still fighting a fever. He only took about an hour and half nap this morning, but he's been conked out now for about 3 hours.
Aidan has been getting to sleep late recently, mosty due to my want/need to be in a comfortable space, i.e., my bed, while reading. We got rid of the sofa a while back and have no comfy chairs to sit on, so bed is it. But the little booger won't go to sleep! So he's been going to sleep around midnight and 1am, and consequently, slept till 11:30 this morning. He even went down for a nap at 3:30 with Scott. Yay! Peace and quiet. No crying, whining, XBoxing, TV, toys being dumped everywhere,.........ahhhhhhhh.......... I got to go to the library by myself and then come home and literally put my feet up to read a book. It's the simple things, ya know? And now I am refreshed for when Aidan wakes up.
There is a story time at 7pm tonight that I'm thinking of taking Aidan to, although Donya & I are supposed to go to International Plaza. I don't know.... Colin isn't feeling well yet, so I don't know if it would be better to stick closer to home.
I was a major cleaning fiend today. Got the dishes done, took out the garbage, got the bathroom counter straightened, and the living room mostly picked up, and slightly rearranged. I can breathe again. Maybe even finish my resume and do some quilting too.
I found out today that a friend of mine, who was also a long term sub at SHMS, is moving to Virginia this week. *sigh* Everything seems to have worked out really well for her, and she owns about 5 acres up there and plans to have a house built. I'm envious of her getting to move the heck out of here. But I also wish her the best, and I will miss her.
