Accomplished
One of the things I actually enjoy about Hans being out of town is that I have a wide open schedule for cleaning. I do my best work later in the day - afternoon and night - and while he's in town, I can't really capitalize on that. However, when he's gone, I can start in earnest around noon and work into the night. For me, that always works better. Adding to my night-owl abilities is the fact that I have trouble sleeping on a good night, and when he's not here to sleep with me, it's nearly impossible for me to go to bed at a decent hour. So that means that I have hours after the girls go to bed to accomplish - uninterrupted - a clean house.
Today I'm already feeling quite accomplished. Since noon, I have done the dishes, cleaned the kitchen counters and stove, swept and washed the kitchen floor, organized the pantry, cleared the bar, scrubbed the coffee table (it has glass inserts, and the groove where the glass goes always gets icky with crumbs and such....), and cleaned our bathroom. I'm about to take a shower and go to the grocery now, too.
I still have a lot to do (When I mapped it all out, I had 11 hours worth of work to do today!!), but I'm well on my way to getting it accomplished.
