Serendipi-tea
Today for the first day in years, I decided to make myself a cup of tea. It is too cold for iced tea and I have yet to use my totally awesome lime green Kitchenaid kettle. I have had the same box of Celestial Seasonings Magagascar Vanilla Red for a few years now. It has lived in two other apartments with me. I used to keep it on my desk at GMB Books, even. So when I went to pluck a bag from it today, I noticed that it has become stale. Goodbye, Madagascar Vanilla Red, I am breaking up with you today.
It is a really, really good tea, though. I remembered that I had a box of Tangerine Zinger in the pantry so I did not give up on tea altogether this morning. BUT when I grabbed the box and started to remove the plaster wrapper that promised this 3 year old box of tea would still be fresh, I saw the sticker...

I am trying to behave like a woman that has her shit together. You know her. Her house is clean and styled. Her hair and nails are polished. She reads and has nice linens. Her internet bookmarks are organized. She drinks tea on Sunday mornings and wakes up in time to eat breakfast before work. Thus far I can only manage one or two of those things at a time and it all gets shot to hell by Sunday night. But I am trying.
