My dear fellow LJ - friends,
thank you very much for the lovely birthday greetings, I was very touched to find them upon login in today. Am having the most marvelous time in London. The weather is fantastic. Sunshine, blue skies, temperatures around +24 Celsius. Not forgetting all those hot men on the London stage. Yes.
Currently I have the pleasure of spending time here with my dear friend Jackie and the ever so lovely
eandme. It is such a pleasure to hang out with these gals. We are having an amazing time.
Monday was arrival day and my friend Jackie and I went about town. We had lunch in a lovely eatery downtown and even ran into german celeb Barbara Schöneberger. How small is the world. We also met up with dear
liljan98 for wine at a local pub. Theaterwise I got lucky and started this vacation out with "Jersey Boys". A fantastic musical about the music of the "Four Seasons". You certainly know some of their hits like "Big girls don't cry". At the backstage door I was delighted to stumble upon dear
patsie and her friends. A big LJ hello was exchanged.
Tuesday it was time to meet the great Sir Ian McKellen in "Waiting for Godot". Always thought I would see it with someone great. And it turned out to be a right decision. Ian and Patrick Stewart were a delight to see. Plus Simon Callow (whom you might recall from "Four weddings and a funeral").
Yesterday I had the pleasure of seeing Jude Law as Hamlet. And he is brilliant. BRILLIANT. Believe me. I was shocked myself to see how wonderful he is in this play. And some of his fellow young actors were very good as well.
Today I am meeting up with a friend and tonight it is time to travel to "Neverland". Yes. Peter Pan it is. Thanks to the recommendation of
ode_to_joy.
This has to be brief. Read you all upon my return.
